Last week I didn’t have a chance to put together a pull list. I would have forgotten again if I hadn’t come by the blog earlier to see what Rich had posted over the weekend and saw his pull list. Last week’s list was a fairly small one with some decent books. I’m excited about this week. Let’s dive in shall we?

Amazing Spider-Man #592 - I’m still picking up random issues of this series, but I may have to pick them up more regularly because this is the Spider-Man I remember reading back in the 80s that got me hooked. The big reveal last issue was AWESOME! Makes me glad I’m reading comics.

American McGees Grimm #1 - I’ve heard a little buzz about this book which I’m glad I did because I didn’t know anything about it. I like Dwight MacPherson’s writing and Grant Bond’s art. I’m at least picking up this first issue and giving it a try.

Avengers (Initiative/Mighty/New) - Really?! Did we need three of the four Avenger books to come out on the same day?! Sheesh!!

Battlestar Galactica Final Five #1 - While I haven’t watched all the BSG series I have been reading all of the comics. This one comes straight from the writers of the series and give us more on the Final Five. Looks good.

Buck Rogers #0 - Shut up! This one looks pretty cool and its only 25-cents!

Detective Comics #853 - Hey! I remember this series. I wonder if the second part of this story is going to be as good considering the looooong delay?

Dynamo 5 #21 - Between this and Invincible, one of them is the best super-hero series being told right now. If you’ve not checked out this series, there was a zero issue a couple months back that was a dollar. Go get that and then pick up the first trade (it was only $9.99 for seven issues). When you do that, get back to me and tell me how much you love this series.

G.I. Joe Cobra #2 – This is on the list, but I could have sworn it came out two weeks ago, didn’t it?

Invincible #61 - Hey, look! Last issue was insane and this issue the clean up and rebuilding beings. This book is still in my ‘top of the pile’ list every month. Great comic!

Red Sonja #43 - This ones a weakness of mine. I’m a few issues behind on my reading, but I grab it every month. This is also my one series I pick up all the variants as I’m able to. This one has at least 3 covers! Whew.

Resistance GN - Did you read this short lived series from Wildstorm 5-6 years ago? It was awesome! Written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray it told a great futuristic story. Now, don’t know if this GN is a collected edition of that series or if this is a new story. If its a collection – get it! If its a new story – get it! If you like comics – get it! So, go get it!

Savage Dragon #147 - Just too much goodness this week – its going to kill me!! Overlord’s coming back, and if you know who that is then you know you’re in for a crazy ride!

Supergirl #40 - While still not in my top ten, this series has been consistently good since Sterling Gates and Jamal Igle have come on board.

Viking #1 - Call this pick the “Love of Northlanders” pick. I really like Northlanders a lot and I want to read more Viking stories. Wait! Are Vikings the new Zombies? Don’t tell Marvel!

This week is INSANE!!!! That’s all I’ve got to say.

GI Joe Cobra #2 was out last week. I didn’t pick it up, which will mean it’s the best single issue of all time, unlike the Amazing Spider-Man books I did pick up, which were pretty awful.

    Hush your mouth!

The last couple of issues of ASM have been great!

Great? I don’t know about that. Enjoyable, maybe.

I’m interested from here on to the big issue 600. We’ll see…

GI Joe Cobra #2 was pretty good. And now there’s word that there will be a new Cobra miniseries in a few months. I wonder if that means Chuckles will still be around?
