’9′ Trailer and Exclusive Poster

‘9‘, a new animated movie from writer/director Shane Acker and produced by Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (so, you know, not bad credentials) is out this fall on 9/9/09.

Pity they need to keep the ’0′ in the year. Or didn’t make it ten years ago.

Anyway, the one sheet will be in theaters this Friday but I’ve got an exclusive (relatively; I mean, along with all the rest of the movie sites and blogs running it) here:

The trailer’s below, and the backstory of the 9 is unfolding on the scientist’s Facebook page.

This looks to be a fun little movie, and the visual design and style is certainly distinctive. The only thing that has me a little worried so far is that the animation reminds me of Xbox360 game cut scenes a little; it’s certainly not up to Pixar or Disney standards.

Even so, looks interesting.
