A Plan Comes Together

June 10, 2009 by

Variety reported yesterday that Liam Neeson was in advanced talks to take the role of John ‘Hannibal’ Smith in the long-mooted oft-delayed big screen take on The A-Team.

I actually like this casting, especially if the studio is going with a straightforward action movie take on the concept as opposed to a wink-wink, nudge-nudge version (where George Clooney would have been ideal). Still, he’s no Coach Taylor.

Also in talks, as previously rumored (and denied) is Bradley Cooper for Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck.

Another casting that I like, which is a good sign.

I’d read that Common was in the running for Bosco ‘B.A.’ Baracus, which sounds okay to me if only because if they’re not getting Erik King, Common will do.

But honestly, has nobody approached Alan Tudyk for Howlin’ Mad Murdock yet?

Previous fantasy A-Team casting here.

    Thumbs-up to Tudyk as Murdock.

And, as for B.A., am I the only one who thinks Kimbo Slice would be perfect? Hell, he'd pretty much be following Mr. T's career path, as well.
