I haven’t seen anything else she’s been in so I’m not sure if this is good casting or not, but she’s certainly got the hair down. Just hope she can use a sword a little.
According to the report, the reliable Colm Feore has been cast too, but no word on who he’ll be playing. I know the original script for the movie called for the majority of it to be set in Asgard, but that would seem at odds with not only setting Thor up for the Avengers movie but also casting Natalie Portman as Jane Foster.
I guess that its possible that Feore could play a regular Midgard/Earth character (although he does bear a passing resemblance to Tom Hiddleston…).
Hopefully he’s not Odin, because as you know, only one person can do him justice.
