   Oh man GROOT!! You had me believing that for at least 30 seconds, and by God it was the most exciting half-minute of my week.

   In fact, I only finally picked up the TPBs of GOTG because of you, good sir, and, while throughout my life I avoided most cosmic comic storylines, I am now completely in love. Favorite book now. Even went back to all the Annihilation stories to see how they got together, etc.

   Even have a bunch of great ideas for stories they could do Thinking of doing a spec script…yknow, if I learn how to write a script and actually sit down and friggin’ do it.

   But, yes, Groot would be a farkin’ awesome Avenger. (Even a Secret one, though I don’t get what that series is gonna be.) I’m mostly looking forward to him having some more dialogue (he is suspiciously loquacious in some of the Annhilation Conquest issues) or at least being around someone like Inhuman Maximus who can understand his genius.

   Plus Mantis was an Avenger once right? So there’s the connection. Plus, that whole first-mission-finding-quasi-Captain-America-frozen-in-ice, Avengers/Guardians comparison.

   Groot and Rocket Racoon: the next great American heroes. (Screw the Galaxy, we Terrans need their help more.)
