The Pull List – 14 July 2010

A small week this week (although these days they’re all small weeks) with only three comics being picked up…

Batgirl #12 – Still fun, still optimistic. Still one of the few DC’s picked up monthly.

Superman #701 – The last time I missed an issue of Superman it was still called Adventures of Superman, and I dropped it for three whole issues – from #570-572, cover dated September – November, 1999. Over ten years out the door. I went into what I think about the new direction in detail before, and my feelings haven’t changed.

Amazing Spider-Man #637 – The Gauntlet has been really strong, and this is one of those times where I’m actually disappointed that a story isn’t six issues long – because after the last three issues, to have all the loose ends tied up in this one issue makes it feel like it’s going to be crammed.

Gorilla Man #1 – Oh, I’ll be getting this in trade, don’t you worry.

Spectacular Spider-Girl #3 – Spider-Girl’s swansong continues. I was there at the start, and I’m here at the end – I just missed a lot of the middle, although I am catching up in the great digest format.
