Only two comics this week as the ever-shrinking Pull List gets smaller still – it makes me think I should change this to include trades, even though I get them a week later (at least) due to Amazon releases.
Supergirl #54 – If you’d have said three years ago that Supergirl would be one of the only books I was still picking up on a monthly basis, I would have laughed at you. Now, though, it’s one of the ones I look forward to most. Strong writing, good art and good characterization that make me stay even through the missteps (yes, Insect Queen Lana, I’m looking at you).
Amazing Spider-Man #638 – The Grim Hunt was one of the strongest Spidey-arcs in years, and the culmination of a good run of stories as part of the Gauntlet, even if some of them were a bit superfluous. This issue, it’s the start of the four issue One Moment in Time that reveals what went down with the wedding that didn’t happen, not to mention what Mary Jane whispered to Mephisto. Looking forward to it!
