The New Year looks like it’s starting with an unfeasibly big week -
Batman #684 – Denny O’Neil’s return to Gotham concludes as the space before Neil Gaiman’s two-parter gets filled.
Batman: Cacophony #2 – More Kevin Smith fun and games, presumably with the Joker offering himself up to all and sundry.
Final Crisis: Secret Files – I’m a sucker for these Secret Files…but did it have to be in a week already weighed down with books? Yeesh.
Green Lantern #36 – More Red Lanterns raging.
Justice League of America #28 – The Milestone integration continues. Actually, finally, pretty enjoyable.
Justice Society of America #22 – The finale of Kingdom Come…finally!
Legion of Super Heroes #49 – Penultimate issue of what’s been a pretty tortured run at times.
Superman #683 – Well, those Kryptonians went bad quick, didn’t they?
Trinity #31 – Worthy but dull, I’m afraid.
Avengers Invaders #7 – This hasn’t exactly turned out to be the barn buster we were promised, has it?
Avengers The Initiative #20 – Hank mourns – and Mutant Zero revealed!
Captain America #45 – Batroc ze Leaper!
Fantastic Four Cosmic Special – I actually can’t find any solicits for this. Odd.
Fantastic Four #562 – The funeral of old Sue Richards…and maybe a proposal.
Guardians Of The Galaxy #8 – Still an excellent book!
Incognito #1 – I probably won’t pick this up, but I’m sure it will be excellent.
Incredible Hercules #124 – Atlanteans! Amazons! Awesomeness!
War Machine #1 – Maybe. I like Pak, I like Manco and I
obviously like Rhodey. I’m just not sure that I want to add yet another book.
X-Force #10 – Good fun stuff.
Proof #15 – The end of the ‘Thunderbirds are Go!’ arc – which has, frankly, been a little lacklustre, annoyingly. It’s brought down what has been an otherwise great book.

Busting shit up’s all well and good, but a man has to know when enough’s enough – and Jim Rhodes knows that, because bromance is about looking out for each other!
And when Jim Rhodes says enough’s enough, you listen – which means this wraps up
Jim Rhodes week after an inexplicable two-week stay.
So that’s it for now – keep your eyes out for more Rhodes appearances…because you can’t keep a good man down!

Jim Rhodes Week may have gone on seven days but by popular demand, I’m extending it even more – because, dammit, there’s a lot of things you can learn from Rhodey – like the fact that it never hurts to suck up to the boss!
B’romance means never telling your bro the truth about their stupid-ass hair ‘doo when they’re looking that pleased about it.
And Jim Rhodes knows that!
It’s that kinda smarts that’s getting Jim Rhodes Week extended!

Another big week thanks to Secret Invasion again…and don’t forget that it’s Jim Rhodes Week
Legion of Super Heroes #46 – I’ve kind of forgotten what’s going on. I always enjoy it when I read it but can’t help thinking it’s treading water till everything changes.
Superman #680 – Krypto kicks ass this issue. And it’s about time. Robinson still hasn’t quite got a handle on this but it’s improving.
Teen Titans #63 – Even after the killer dog incident I’m still kind of interested. Probably won’t pick it up, but if it’s in the dollar bins…
Trinity #17 – It’s readable enough that I’m in for the long haul, and at least things are happening. Not the home run I expected though.
Avengers The Initiative #17 – Ant-Man is on base with a crap load of Skrulls. Will they steal his Wii?
Captain America #42 – Most anticipated book of the week – the end of the Death of Captain America arc!
Fantastic Four #560 – Couple of weeks late but like I said a while ago, better than I thought it was when I re-read the whole thing.
Marvel 1985 #5 – Maybe this will read better as a whole aswell. Got Last Action Hero vibes from the last scene of last issue.
Ms Marvel #31 – No. I already said
so long to Carol, so I won’t be picking this up.
New Avengers #45 – What were the Skrulls up to in House of M? Why should we care and what effect will it have on the current storyline? Who knows?
Nova #17 – Nova vs Super Skrull. Is it wrong that I want K’lrt to win?
Secret Invasion Amazing Spider-Man #2 – Good fun even without Spidey.
She-Hulk #33 – And here’s the second dose of K’lrt fun!
Thunderbolts #124 – Norman Osborn going kill-crazy against Skrulls? What’s not to like?
X-Force #7 – So what’s going on with Angel again? Can he switch between forms at will or what?
X-Men Legacy #216 – Xavier vs Cyclops. And I hope Cyclops bitchslaps him into next issue.
My Name Is Bruce #1- Campbell, Bruce Campbell.
Trailer’s great so this is getting checked out.
Proof #12 – Monkey vs Fairy. Beat that!
And Jim Rhodes will return…this afternoon!
